Default Is this what they mean by glass pack? (ot)

Hey.

I remember that i was advised to stay away from mufflers that used "glasspacks" for the insulator because it would melt and kill the exhaust. I believe it was actually fiberglass.

is this an example of glass pack or is this glass wool different?

Nearly all Glass pack mufflers (most likely including the one in the link) Wear out over time. Either the glass fiber slowly burns and falls out, or becomes clogged with exhaust buildup.
