Default DPFI to MPFI

i know there are a lot of threads already on this but i really don't have the time to got through all these damn threads ad or use the search button. so i have a few questions about the process that comes with swapping to MPFI i currently have a 90 dx hatch running a standared D15 so my first question is do i need a whole new wiring harness? next is im going to buy a pm6 which i know will run the MPFI but will the standard DX wiring harness work with it? and how much of a performance increase am i gonna see? any information helps the quicker i can get the info the better...

thanks guys
mike

you do not need a new engine harness. pm6 will plug in and work fine with your dx. you simply modify the harness you have to work with mpfi. its pretty much just adding 4 wires into the engine bay. 2 for the injectors and 2 for the dizzy. you willneed an si dizzy btw. and injectors dont matter obd0 use resistor box obd1 use a dead end plug. as far as performance goes your not adding much hp. although you are making it easier to add bolt ons and such now that your mpfi

I did the swap on my parents' 91 4 door 5-speed LX and they're averaging something like 40+ mpg. My dad has watched it several times after filling up and the mileage has been really consistent...mind you though, he essentially won't drive past 65mph (and for the most part there's not much reason to drive so fast in a modest 1991 civic sedan ).
