K-series tuning on new AEM Gen2 EMS...amazing results!
I am so excited to share that we got a hold of a new AEM Series 2 EMS and tuned a TypeS head/K24 block engine. The mods to the powerplant:
61,094 miles
Type S stock head
Stock Type S cams
Stock Type S intake manifold
91 octane
K24 stock block
Custom short Ram intake
Tri-Y header
2.5" exhaust
Tuned on KPro (dotted line), then switched to AEM 30-6030 ECU (solid line)

Results:
Amazing idle quality akin to factory based ECU
4.4whp peak HP gain with new AEM EMS
11 ft/lbs torque gain at 3700 rpms
Vid of sweep:

The injector control and ability to manipulate and optimize cam and injector phasing was superb. The time to tune this setup on the EMS was significantly reduced, as the is only one 3-d cam angle map, opposed to 6...a true cost effective feature.
My favorite feature on the AEM EMS: The valet mode....it allows you to set a speed governor. Now I can digitally limit speed, and lock the EMS whenever I lend my cars out!

Nice! Thanks for sharing the results. Does injector phasing do anything at high duty cycle, or is it more of a smooth idle thing?
wow this was an Integra I built at the shop I used to work at before I came to Bisimoto! When is was switched to AEM it picked up some hp and reduced dyno tuning time by a few hours compared to Hondata that needed seperate cam angle tuning when AEM can control them with 1 3D cam angle map

Good the hear Hondata finally has some competition in the K market! Tuners are gonna love being able to save mucho time generating maps (time is $$$)

Less sales pitches, I would say.
At this time I dont have a screen shot, but you can download the AEM software on their web site and check it out
Lol no sales pitch I just really like the reasults with the AEM EMS for tuning a k-series with out the need to indivually tune 6 differnt cam angles to make one map when AEM can do it properly with its cam phasing map.
So in turn, hondata is just using one map, just has more for fine tuning. If you are reducing your tune time by a few hours by switching to AEM, you never knew hondata that well.
Like I said, sales pitch. AEM does work great and I like it more then K-pro, but just tell the truth. There is no reason to lie about something to just give it a bad name.
I really dont see AMAZING results if I made 4hp more from swapping a ECU I would be a little worried about charging the customer for it.Everything you Bisi guys post seems to be sales pitch intended.Kpro is not slow or hard to tune once you have built a good selection of base maps which we have over the years for every type of ECU we tune,AEM seem to make ok products and we recently did a AEM vs Kpro vs Haltech job on a Supercharged K24 and ended up leaving the Kpro in the car,why did we do that because it just ran better on that ECU than the others.
I am expressing my personal experience with a product that was used for a car I had built and drove as well I use AEM on my current build with much success. I do not stand behind a product unless I use the item myself and works as it should. I do not go by hearsay from others
Also was pointing out a features that I liked on the AEM EMS and share my opinion of what I thought of the comparison between the two systems being that the car did have a K-pro in it previously. I do not discredit either system and know that many people have had success with both.
Just in my opinion I prefer AEM being that it work very well for my builds for both power wise and drivability.

Either of them work, I would pick AEM over K-pro at this point.
