Default BFG g-force owners, have a couple of questions

I just got some 14" BFG G-Force radials for my 98 integra gsr. I have never used drag radials before and have no idea how to launch these. This is my current setup:

AEM CAI
JDM Header/carsound cat/Apex N1
Comptech Alum. FW/ACT HDSS

My reason for getting these tires is that when I launch I have tons of traction problems, mainly because my car revs so easily with the 6.75 fw. I have had a couple of people drive my car and they get the same result.

I had the 205-50/15 tires at 10 psi, and was launching at 6000rpm...but I have a little more power.

Drop pressure to 12 to 15psi, do a good burnout (NOT in the water), launch at 7000rpms and don't look back.

So you go around the water box, pull up the ebrake and do a burn out??? And are they that great that they will hook up when u launch at 7k rpm?? thanx, I just might have to get me some of these.

I doubt they will hold a 7000 rpm launch, but shouldn't spin very bad.

Remember SOME slippage is GOOD!!!! Rubber grips the best when it is just barely sliding. The amount of slippage depends on the compound.

A dry peel is better for these tires. I pull around the water box and back up just before the fronts hit the box and dry peel to the line without setting the beams off. I cut a 2.08 60 the other day with them so they can hook I lauched at 5-5.5K with a balance between grip and slip. This was at 17 psi so I may try a little lower but I think its killing my top end the lower psi I go as I used to gain about 20 mph on the back end now its like 18-19 mph on the back side.

Still for the money the #1 mod I made to my car for the strip.......times DROPPED big time. You will love them.....and your car will launch much harder than on regular streets.

Remember to heat cycle before using them and try not to use them on the street for daily duty.....max they would last 6K miles anyway so I would keep it for the track.
