I'm not sure what's wrong with it, but the HC and CO readings are too high during cruise speeds. At idle it passes comfortably, but during the cruise test it failed. These are the numbers:

HC limit @cruise: 150, my car was at 192
CO% limit @cruise: 1.1%, my car was at 2.53%

I need to know what I can do to pass asap! As I need the car for work. I don't want to spend money on a mechanic to rip me off with a bogus answer only to find out it was something small. The car is a 4th gen accord, but it has a freshly swapped h22a put in today. Someone told me to let the engine break in or add some stop smoke/fuel additive to help pass, because I need to pass as soon as I can

 

Are you throwing any codes or anything?

 

Did you let the car/cat warm up before taking it to smog? Drive the car on the freeway for like 30 min once its fully warmed up and try again.

Not to thread jack, but im in a bit of a pickle in San Diego as well with smog. I need to find either a stock header in good condition or a CARB approved aftermarket one. If either of you guys could help that would be great.

Also, has anyone else had a problem of Code P0172 -- system too rich? I have checked everything except my valve adjustment and need to pull the injectors to see if one is leaking. I went thru the manual and so far everything else is fine. Anyone else has this problem?
