(b18C6 swap EG6)
i have very low idle (100-200rpm) and the car is bogging most of the time at low rpm and no power on the top, but sometimes its almost like the car gains all the power suddenly..(timing is right, i have P30 ECu chipped with type R map)
i followed step 2 on this website http://www.jspecautosports.com/files...chcenter3l.htm

and when i disconnected the Idle Air Control Valve the car just shuts down.
does that mean that my IACV is broken ?

thats not the iacv causing this....you have something else wrong

 

any ideas ?

 

could be a lot of things....fuel system issue from the fuel pump itself to the fuel pressure regulator to the injectors....could be an electrical issue from a poor ground to a bad wire in the harness....to much to list can cause something like that....
i would check to see if the ecu has any codes.

ground wires
sparkplugs
distributor
sparkplug wires

the ECU is not pulling any codes, i used the paperclip method also.. no codes

i´ll check fuel system, dont think thats the problem, but i´ll check

 

i forgot to tell.
when the car is cold. it runs good. when hot, it starts to bog, and has very low idle(almost dying)

i checked fuel pressure regulator. its fine

could this be O2 sensor ? no CEL
or bad distributor ?

 

check the dist with another 1 from a running car
