It was street tuned with this setup. When I first got the motor together and in the car it was dyno tuned on a mustang dyno. That was with smaller cams (403s) Stock Throttle body and a cheap header. It made 172whp 137tq. I think it should be really close to 190whp right now.

Nice job on the build, the exterior of the engine looks great. Its definitely not your every day project car.

Spent like 2 hours street tunning. This motor likes alot of timing and a good amount of overlap in the cams. The only way to keep the idle up is to open the throttle body up a little. And I am almost maxing out the injectors and they are DSM 450cc. I also do a valve adjustment once a month, And i run the valve lash pretty tight. I have rev'ed this motor to 9,500 rpms before.

In this video the shift light came on and thats set at 9000rpms.. rev limiter is at 9300 right now.

theres no way your dsm 450's are maxed out unless your fuel pump is dropping PSI or something. Iv made 314whp before with those injectors on a turbo ls.

They are damn close to being 100% In crome. But you bring up a good point with the fuel pump... Its still stock meaning its almost 21 years old.

ya there is now way your using up all that fuel, you've got to be loosing pressure. my h22 did the same thing I ran my duty cycle all the way to 128% lol then I put a walbro in it and had to retune cause it was too rich.
