are windshields comp.atible between civic hatch's and crx's? any info would be great

No you can only use Crx windshields In Crx's

Oh really... where'd you find this information?
Windshields have the same part number from 88-91 Civic+CRX
The difference is SH2 or SH3, which is merely for the color of the tint across the top of the windshield... SH2 being blue, SH3 is purple...

^ wrong. crx and civic have different windshields, the civic is just a little longer. So the answer is NO.

the middle three numbers in honda's system designate model or line.... the last three or five digits designate colors and other variants.

if they were the same except for the color, they would end in ZA and ZZ or something like that.
