Default tire Guru's chime in

needing 195-55-15 or 205-55-15 (switching back to 15's)

I have 16 inch rims with 45 series tires right now and its a little rough over bumps for me and I like a quieter tire as well. I want an all around better ride. I am on 205/45/16 nitto neogens.

what tire of the sizes I picked would have the best all season traction and have a nice SMOOTH ride , I must emphasize the smoothness! I like grippy tires too dont get me wrong , but right now Ide like to worry about getting a smooth ride.

I have searched and searched for reviews but I want real life experiences or someone who knows how to look at compound raitings and what not and KNOW that the tire will ride amazingly.

How are you going to put 15" tires on 16" rims?

OP: theres no such thing and smooth and quiet AND performance based. You pick one or the other. Neogens are a great tire and IDK why your having issues..

Noise is determined by road surfaces more then the actual tire. But usually when the tire has huge blocks with space between them, the noisier the tire.

If you look at a michelin touring tire, theres barely any space between the treads.. nice quiet tire but poor on performance.

let some pressure out and run at 32psi. Neogens are a V rated tire also without alot of give in the sidewall. try a falken H rated and see what that does for ya

If you are getting 15" wheels 195/50-15 will be the size you want. It will keep your speedo reading on target with stock.

You never once said you have stock Si rims you were going to use. You stated you has 16" rims and then gave 15" tire sizes.

I dont really care about the speedo , the extra sidewall will give me better ride comfort.

I never had a problem really until I got one patched and now it plops over bumps , Its so ****ing annoying every crack in the road , fump fump . i hate it .

Stickied at the top of this forum is a topic called

Forum Rules and FAQ - READ BEFORE POSTING

It says:

Which tires should I get?

This depends on what you're looking to get out of the tire. If you're still not sure what to get after reading the above information , make a new topic and tell us what you intend to use it for. In that topic, make sure to answer the following questions:

- What kind of car you have (year, model, version)
- What size wheels you have
- How the tires will be used (daily driving, auto cross/track/drag strip)
- What kind of weather the tires will be used in (dry, rain, snow)
- What your preferences is in the trade-off between value (low purchase price and/or long tread life) vs performance
