I am Looking to get a TD-05 18G turbo charger that is in great condition, I have 2 already and both of the housings have cracks in the exact same place, which is right on the wastegate opening on the housing. I am looking for a turbo that does not leak boost and does not have these cracks. Turbine must be in good shape with no shaft play. If anyone wants to see a pic of the crack let me know. Or is anyone has any way that the cast iron housing can be fixed please let me know. I want to put the turbos on my car, but they both will leak boost. I need someting that will be reliable and in working order !

 

You sure you're not looking for a TD-06 18G from a Greddy kit?

 

I know someone that i sold a GReddy TD05-18G turbo for external wastegate that wants to sell it...i know it hasnt been used...i'll ask him how much he wants for it and i'll send you pics on Mon.

 

I am prety sure that it's the TD-05 18G turbo that comes with the GReddy kit for my GSR.

yea its a shitty place to have a crack, but the up side is a new housing is only 100 from Viren. so i think i will go that route, and hope that everything works out for me. i will keep everyone posted on the progress of the turbo, in the FI forum.
