Torque Dip in Upper RPMs
When I'm in 2nd at lower rpms, and get on it right around 6500 rpms there is a noticeable torque dip, and as soon as you get passed it the car pulls to redline.
I didn't notice this until my old distributor took a **** on me, and I purchased a brand new distributor. The car was put back in timing, and then I first noticed the problem the first time I tried getting on it in 2nd.
The car was just recently retuned with new plugs put in 2 weeks ago, the distributor is new not even a week old as my old one took a **** a week ago, and I bought brand new ngk plug wires yesterday just because.
I took the car down to IMW today, Derek and I took the car out on the street to try and resolve the issue. We did a 3rd gear pull and the car felt fine. So, we did a 2nd gear pull and the tq dip was there. Well Derek was trying to adjust settings to get rid of the dip, and it seemed like he got it to go away as we did 2 pulls that felt normal and figured the issue was resolved.
Well, on the way home the first time I got on it the tq dip was again there. The next 2 times I got on it I didn't notice it, so I really have no idea what's going on.
Does anybody have any idea what could be going on..?

Do you think it might be a fuel delivery issue? Has your fuel filter been changed or inspected?
Maybe your fuel pump is dying. Hook up a pressure gauge to the filter and record readings with and without dip. See what the pressure drop is (if any) in the good and bad pulls. If it varies by a lot, then it might be a bad fuel pump or clogged fuel pump sock.
Check your voltage output and clean your grounds.
As bambam stated, it might be a misfire caused by lack of fuel, or spark. It's hard to "feel" a misfire above 5k. Weak distributor?
If you have access to an OEM distributor you should try it, and go from there.
Good luck.

Fuel filter is a brand new OEM Honda fuel filter installed less than 2 weeks ago.
I guess I could always check and clean my grounds, as I have had issues with them before.
The distributor is brand new, so I hope there is nothing wrong with it.
Derek said to put the coil from the brand new distributor into the old one, and put the old distributor back on the car and see if that changes anything since he thinks my coil is what went.

I bough a brand new distributor earlier this year. The damn thing broke after 2 1/2 months. The tach stopped working and car wouldn't make any power. Bough a new distributor king unit and has been fine since, even boosted.
So, try what Derek told you and clean your grounds, specially the one at the t-stat housing. Go from there.
Good luck.
I had this problem on my itr.. turned out to be a short in the wiring ..everytime i kicked my ecu or it would move on a hard shift, it'd buck a tad bit and have that "Dip" your talking about.
I also tuned a few cars with a similar problem.. turned out to be bad wiring to the injectors.. something to check over..

Well I cleaned up the grounds, checked over injector wiring, and I removed a pretty shitty ground and put another wire on.
I took the car out even though it's wet out, and did 5 2nd gear pulls, 3 3rd gear pulls, and 2 short shifting 3-4 and going through the problem area in 4th with no issues.
