Wonder if this will buff out????
video? And I knew this thing was going to crash. The first video they threw up and it getting squirelly everytime he lifted off the throttle at the end of the pass and he ended up doing 360's............ Did the driver survive?? Quite a bit of room to live area in the cockpit.
yes the driver walked away from the crash...he did go to the hospital though as a precaution...its a shame,i really wanted to see what the car had in it since they added more power after the last mile event which it ran 250.1mph....

holy **** he is lucky he survived that, something funny going on with that car and the transition from power to brake or that chute.... I would of figured the chute would of helped straighten it out but I guess not.
Im just glad this wasnt kyle's car. This guy is very lucky to be alive. He has 2 more lamborghinis that has building if im not mistaken. He has a TT Murcielago.
Are you serious??? He has 2 more Lambos? Good god where do people get all this money!?!? DAMN! lol And I cant believe the idiot was back out in a Viper right after crashing! Hes really pushing his luck.
It looks like he didn't let the chute deploy before he threw on the binders. Not sure what its like for that kind of racing but I know my 6-7sec alcohol car friends let the chute fully deploy before they throw on the brakes.
I was there he was in the brakes before the shute deployed, last year he kept spinning it out cas right at the mile he would jam the brakes and the car would lose control, after the wreck they were trying to tell every one a gust of wind grabbed the shute and wraped it around the wheel.
there he had that orange tt lambo, the sw tt lambo he bought, a tt 430 and a viper

Some people make the money they have by divinghead first into these exotics and tuning and building them. Some like Kyle start from the ground up. He owns underground racing as well as a lifted truck company. That is how he got big into this,
The guy who crashed is a VERY SKILLED driver who has had bad luck with that car 2 years in a row.
I would love to see someone get into a car with that much power and do what those guys do.
The guy who crashed owns a performance company for exotics and he has quite a few exotics as well as ***** to the wall fast imports and domestics.
Look up in the detailing section for the TT lambo. That is KYLE. He is the one who built the lambo that crashed for it's owner.

Skilled drivers don't throw on the brakes before the car has settled. I noticed that last year in his runs.
But regardless I hope he learns from these mistakes and I am glad he is ok.

"JC" I was there at the 3/4 mile marker and watched the whole thing unfold. It was nuts. We all were dead silent bc it looked like he died right before our eyes. His wife almost passed out next to us - she was obviously beside herself. And they took 20 min to get a word back to her.
There is so much misinformation floating around. The fact is the chute was never tested at this speed (and arguably was mounted too low, at the wrong angle and without a launcher) and no one really knew what would happen when opened. If you watch the video, you'll see how the chute starts opening about a foot off the ground. SW had a similar near miss last year when his rear end got really light. Shops are installing these as if they're on drag cars and there's obviously a big difference deploying them at this speed.
Richard agreed to be the test car. He has been a casual friend for years and although he is a bit careless and doesn't give a **** - like Jonah who spun his around in 3rd gear on a flat shift later in the day - his driving skills and experience is higher than 100% of this board.
scary stuff! chute placement definately seemed like an issue. dont those cars actually have functional aero peices that create downforce at those speeds? i also wonder if walls on either side of the strip would help in situations like that.
