hole in my tranny...
as you can see in these pics, theres a hole in the tranny... i bought the motor and tranny attached to a 91 crx, got rid of the shell and planned to swap drivetrain and motor in my ef sedan...
when i was taking out the pin on the shift linkage, i noticed the hole, stuck my finger in and metal shavings came out with my finger... the motor and tranny wasnt running when i bought it... i cant get a hold of the previous owner, so no history on how it may have happen... seems theres some sort of cylinder part in there that have caused the damage, but not sure what it is...
i have never taken a tranny apart, but i think this will be a good oportunity for it... do you guys think the tranny can be saved? if not, what can i use from it... by the way, it is a b16 cable tranny on a b18c1... thanks...

Classic cable tranny diff pin failure. Sucks they are getting hard to come by. Factory diffs back in those days came with a crappy diff pin that honda changed in later years.
thanks guys.. that sucks (with a few choice words,hehehe)... so this tells me my b16 tranny is junk, but is it worth anything or should i just pitch it?
