i imagine once the computer senses an issue with the sensor or in your case being unplugged from it entirely that it may have a temperature value it defaults to so that the engine will still run.

must have some pretty crummy mounts if the motor was able to move that far back and smack the firewall you'll be fine for now, it's not going to make your engine catastrophically fail or anything of that nature.

its the one that goes from the back of the tranny to the firewall that mount is shot, not to mention the y8 manifold barely clears the firewall...yeah it was a mount problem that caused that code 7.

It's just wire loom, I don't think parts store crap will hurt. If you want to see close to the firewall try installing a Skunk2 manifold on there LOL

yeah thats about how close it is, you can actually see where the tps smacked the firewall, it upset me cause i didnt have any codes at all till then, the iat somehow fell out and was completely ripped off (yeah yeah i know blah blah blah from haters) so i need that and the plug, i plan on trying pick a part in atlanta for the plug, i think ill get the sensor new i dont want to use a junkyard sensor if i dont have to

I have a skunk2 manifold on mine, has to be around 1/2" of clearance, maybe less.
