Yeah it should....I used my dx axles and shift linkage when I had an Si trans on my old ZC motor. It worked fine. So I think you are good to go.

Drain trans fluid
Remove axle nuts
Remove axles
Remove shift linkage
Remove starter motor
Remove passenger side tie rod to make room to drop the trans out the bottom
Remove all mount brackets connected to trans
Remove all transmission bolts
Loosen trans from the block
Lower the trans out with a floor jack
Remove transmission

Why would you have to take out the starter? It's only touching the flywheel when it's engauged isn't it?

one of the starter bolts threads into the block. forget that bolt and the tranny is NOT coming out.

and u risk damaging the starter in the process of removing the trans not a good idea to leave it in
