Default How cool is this stainless air filter?? Would it flow??

I just need a cheap air filter for my daily driver 3.2TL

I have a 3" short ram right now.

What do you guys think of this filter, would it flow just fine??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-Car...item20b4027152

Think that is actual stainless casing and would look great and last a long time??

It also looks like I can even extend a 3" pipe down into my fender wheel to make it more like a cold air intake...??

What do you guys think?? Im not trying to spend $100 to gain a pony or two, Im just trying to get a reliable product and not LOSE power lol

Check out the velocity stack that BPI offers and the K&N filter that they can supply with it. I think that would be a better setup than guessing on a cheap ebay filter. I believe it'll run you less than $100, but if you want to spend $10 on an air filter, it's not cheap.

A hundred plus bucks for a filter though?? Not really interested in spending that much on my wifes DD lol

The most Id ever spedn is the $60 on a K&N but I dont know if there filters are hype.

I was hoping this filter would flow and work just fine on her NON HP oriented car

Ok so if you aren't going to listen to our input then why did you ask in the first place? If you want it that bad get it, its not our car....were just telling you what we would do and what is proven to be top of the line.

if you want to be cheap get one used....

I bet this stainless thing would lose hp. If you are looking to replace your filter just go with the BPI stack. if you want to be cheap and don't care about hp then leave it stock.

It is not expensive, so, you could get it and disassemble it and look at the quality. The filter is a small cone and you can visualize it on his similar one that have plastic housing.

You may want to do a little research on air filters. K&N flow ok, but OEM paper seems to filter better, and flow a little less.

If your intentions are not for power then they must be for longevity I.E. good filtration. Go with OEM.

K&N air filters flow significantly more than cellulose based filters and on par with oiled foam type. K&N filters' overall filtration efficiency % is up in the 98 percent range base on ISO5011 protocol. However standard K&N cone filters do not have the stainless heat shield like the one in your link.

Sorry I didnt like the answer you gave me, this isnt a race car, it doesnt need a $100 filter stack, sorry if that bothers you, but its not in my budget

I cant go back to stock, sold the stock airbox and I have an aem intake, just need the filter.

I just wanted to know if the one i linked flowed fine an give the engine enough air at WOT, and wouldnt choke the 3.2 out
