i have no spark from coil or spark plugs what do i check next to get it started i am restoring this car for my grandaughter

can i use the code reader without the car running if so how

 

that's the only way to use a code reader isn't it?

car in on position just don't turn it over and have paper clip or wires in the plug on passenger side and count the code the search it on forum that's what i do... Did

 

yeah the codes will flash on the ecu when the car is in he on position. youll have to know how to read those codes and then check online.

 

thank you next question the car started to have a miss then it got hard to start then it quit starting all together i checked it out and found it had no spark from coil or plugs what should i check maybe voltage regulator or what other componet

 

the next common thing to check is a component called the main relay, driver side, under dash, near fuse box. Have you armed yourself with a manual?

 

my car is have the same problem i have a 98 prelude i car wont turn on i change the distrubitor wire spark plug main relay check the fuel presure is good change the coolant heat sensor my car only get spark if i crank it alot then it turn on but if i shut it of for 30 m it wont turn back on onless i crank it alot wat can i be
