Default NO Brake lights

2 questions actually.

1) Resently took all the heater and ac ish from under my dash and the sterio and cigarette lighter stopped workin but interor light and clock still work could there be a connector that has those 2 together i didnt plug up?

2) Same time my brake lights stopped working. Ive tryd to replace it with another sensor but ive noticed there not as fat as my stock std sensor should that matter?

Thanks in advance!
