I was just wondering if the front shock forks are the same for all models of civic up to 2000? the reason im asking is cuz the bolt that clamps the shock absorber on my 91 crx snapped while changing the strut. my only option is a 98 euro hatch in the junkyard by my house or wait a week or so for some ebay ones. any help?

 

the shock forks for a 5th and 6th gen civic are wider than our 4th gen civic. if you wanted to use the forks from a newer civic you would have to use the shock as well.

 

im using 90-93 integra front struts with my stock forks it works good.

 

wider as in the cup that the shock sits in and clamps down or the actual fork itself?

 

EG/DC front shocks have larger diameter shock bodies, so you need to use the EG/DC forks.

88 front shocks have slightly different brake line brackets. Not that big a deal.
