Dizzy question: Can I swap out an internal coil dizzy with an external?

Just like the title says... can I use a Prelude dizzy on an OBD1 motor (H22A) and still have it "plug and play" or is it a matter of swapping out pins to different connectors? And if it's the latter, is it as simple as swapping out my connectors or is it more involved?
