whts good honda tech i got a question lmk if anyone can help me. last weekend i went to my local track and ran my civic. i have an 07 civic si w/ i/h/e tuned on flashpro i have my launch control set at 3500 and wen i take off i get so much wheel hop. i had to let off throttle and and then get on it again. i ran a 14.6 but i was thinkin if i can get rid of wheel hop i cud make the time a little faster. any suggestion on how to reduce wheel hop or what to set launch control at?

Do you have any aftermarket mounts or engine dampeners? Launching at any rpm is more or less irrelevant here.

what kind of suspension do you have? if you have damper-adjustable coilovers, you can set your front a little bit softer and your suspension will absorb some of that energy while trying to launch.

you can also try some drag radials or even letting some pressure out of your front tires (refill before you drive home).

i had a lot of wheel hop when i ran a few weeks ago. i softened up my front and it helped out a little bit

i was planning on getting aftermarket mounts and a traction bar eventually

Ive got a 92 turbo B Eg Hatch back pushing over four hundred. I destroyed a transmission from launching due to wheel hop. I don't know whats avaliable for an 07 civic however, i'm running Mfactory lower ball joints and Avid Racing traction bars. I also noticed that when I had her on the dyno there was excessive motor movement so I also instaled 70dura hasport mounts. The diffrence with the traction bars alone was amazing. I hear stories of guys running in the Tens without them but, on a high whp street/track driven car, I dont know how you can do with out them and still maintain reliaibility.

torque mounts, suspension, less psi in the tires, better tires.
