hehe lol bro there are some many things you can do it all depends what your budget is. Since you asked how to make your 97 lude faster, start with bolt ons intake, header, exhaust if you go with reputable brands there would proble be good for 15hp - 20hp. after that the skys the limit Turbo, head work, Supercharger just google or do some reading you'll learn more through some research.

 

Get a turbo kit, get it really really well tuned. run 6psi all day, you'l have 230whp.

 

typical honda setup. go original, all motor, more respect.

 

Yeah I know, But I mean going all motor and making alot of power is harder then just slapping a turbo on.

 

Sure enough but thats an easy way out, you can get just amount of hp of a turbo at the same price, a decent turbo kit 2-3k maybe more.

I aggree that all motor is much better, just motor work replacing the pistons and rods and cams and valve train ect, if your going to do all that work might as well get low compression pistons and run more boost making more power, seems like turbo is always one step better then all motor.

 

Imagine this, on the high way vs another honda, and your all motor. and you beat him and hes crying cause he lost to a non-turbo.

 

All motor is a waste of money in my opinion. Why spend money on intake, header, etc when you need to change that to go turbo down the road when you realize your still slow. Any well though out, tuned turbo setup will destroy you... bottom line.

 

It was sarcastic, I could take 90 percent of this forum to school on how to make a car faster, but if you really need to ask the question "how do I make my car faster" well than all you need is a set "RIMS" and some loud speakers and your good

 

^^^lol I like both all motor and turbo but all motor looks a whole lot cleaner in the engine bay if they tuck things, and its always pretty impressive when you see a four banger pushing 230-240 horsepower and theres no turbo...

 

What about nitrous, I like that. thats my personal cup of tea. One day I want to aspire to a 300hp NA h22 and like 500hp on the juice atleast.

 

NOS is like crack.

 

Not a fan of nos, its almost like cheating, cuz you dont use nos all day, and when you race and you use it its like cheating to me.

 

how is it cheating unless you are running at the track and your class rules say that it is? on the street (not that i support street racing) there are no rules. to me racing is this run what you brung and hope you brung enough.

 

bolt ons, exhaust header skunk 2 intake manifold. its a start.

lol for sure just go to the drag strip you shouldn't even assume anyone races in the streets very unsafe. I won't front i have done red light runs but nothing like a full quarter mile. But nothing like you see in the movies very unrealistic

If you wanna stay all motor then i recommend Eagle pistons with JE rods , rebuilt H23 block, Skunk 2 cam shaft pro 3, Exhaust system, LSD tans Skunk 2 manifold, ACT clutch. thats for all motor but if u want TURBO after all then go for it, then your prelude would be a monster lol P
