Map Senser?
Ok, Im looking at getting a new map senser
I was looking around and found out that the 92-93 map sensers have a diffeant part number then the 94-95 model years. What is the differance between the two? Differant connectors? The only differance I can see is that the 92-93 senser is 30 dollers more then the 94-95. I dont get it
They should be the same dont ya think? I have a 92 Si with a JDM h22a

im in the same boat as you but the thing is....just as an example...say you buy a turbo and plan on boosting quite a bit, you get a GM map sensor which supports like 3bar of boost. they are universal and it doesnt matter which model/year car you have. this leads me to believe you could replace it with any obdI map sensor. i put a civic map sensor in my 92 si with jdm h22 and it ran just fine. as far as i could think, all it does it send the ACTUAL pressure to the ecu, and they ALL will send the pressures just the same as any other. so.....i might try a junkyard map sensor from any obdI honda and see if it works. the plug was the same on my friends civic map sensor as on my jdm h22 so the plug is not any different. and his civic was a 95, so its not a 92-93/94-95 thing since his 95 plugged right into my 92.
just wondering though, why you replacing your map? you have a hesitation like me?

On my JDM swap for my Civic, I have tried two MAP sensors: one from a Honda Civic CX and the other from the Civic DX. Both have different part numbers, but both work the same. I've swapped between the two, no difference.
Head out to the junk yard, and look Civic MAP sensors. They'll plug right into the JDM H22A connector.
Good luck.
