Although Dallas does not get much snow and salt, cross drilled and slotted rotors still increase maintenance grief. Try to measure runout on such a rotor.
Get the blank rotors.

I use to have the Brembo slotted and they lasted a long time....i really liked them and had way better stopping power than blanks..yea i heard the drilled and slotted arent so great as well but not sure
Blank rotors give you the best stopping power. Period..... They have done research on this matter plenty of times.
Also.. I would check into stoptech blank rotors. Friend had a pair for ~ 150 from THmotorsports. He has free shipping since he cought something else and it was over $200.
They performed better than my brembo rotors. I am shortly going to switch over.. Just havn't had the time or the money.

Calibrated assometer? Here I was thinking that tires were the main factor in stopping power provided that brakes do not fade. What do I know.

Brembo blanks are one of the best to get. Its been proven time and time again that blank rotors give better stopping power than cross/drilled.
Spend the money in the right place. No use in having good rotors with crappy lines, so with that said, this is your ideal setup:
Brembo Blanks
Hawk HPS pads
Goodridge stainless steel lines

cheapest rotors you can find and the best pads you can afford. rotors are throw away items you change with each brake job
my two fav street pads are
1. axxis ultimate
2. hawk hp+

Yes, I am a 14 year old. I joined HT when I was 8.
The pads made the difference in the pedal feel, not the rotors.

If your just driving your car around town and not seeing track time, brembo blanks, or any of the ones posted above are completely OVERPRICED. Centric premium rotors are the consumer brand of STOPTECH, they are about 40 a piece and will work 10x better then any parts store brand rotor. As far as pads go thats entirely up to you, but your always gona see an improvement over OEM pads, OEM pads are organic material in the rear and organic pads are complete junk. If you go with drilled and slotted your going to notice a difference because its like trying to stop on a cheese grater, but your going to go through pads very fast because it consistently slices layers of the pad away to reduce fading.
If you want to improve your braking, the biggest thing you can do is use better pads and switch to stainless steel brake lines. The SS lines give you alot more feedback in the pedal which in turn gives you more control over braking.

it isn't. just think how much you learned from 10 to 16, now think about those of us in our 20s, 30s, lota life experience. that said it's why we poke jokes from time to time. things that are obvious to some of us are a new experience for you.
I have used the brembo blanks on my daily in the past. nice cheap blank, but i feel like they warp rather fast.
agreed that they are almost a throw away item, but i have switched to an oem acura rotor with oem pads. great results.

because I have yet to recieve a pm telling me that I know nothing because of my age. My pre-concieved notion was that I would more or less be written off by most of people on here as soon as I put that I was only 16 in my sig. It seems as though regardless of age if you know what you are talking about people will give you the time of day and take in to consideration what you have to say. So all in all it was a nice suprise.

It is quite uncommon for a brake rotor to warp.
theyll warp all the time, it doesnt matter if the rotors are blanks, drilled or slotted, they all work the same. they dont wear pads one more than the other. they perform all the same except the slotts and drilled rotor have holes and slot in em so they can cool down quicker when excessive braking is applied. like autocrossin or trackin. the stoppin power is all up to the material of your brake pad, some last quite long but suks at stoppin, the other stops on the dime but wears out quicker. warp'd due to heat, might want to check the thickness of the rotor.
