Default Valve cover breather nipple to AN fitting?

Has anyone remove the stock breather valve and replaced it with a male fitting?

If so, what size fitting would work best? -6an or -8an?

I'm planning on running two 12"an fittings to catch can but figured while I was putting fittings on I might was well do something with the stock breather nipple rather than just capping it off.

Running 2 -12an lines off the valve cover is plenty. What I do is remove the nipple completely then drill and tap the hole for a 1/8npt plug. Looks much cleaner that way.

Or you could take out the nipple, drill a larger hole and weld a -8an bung on it instead.

Pulled the o.e piece of tube out then drilled and tapped a m10x1.5mm thread to accept an adapter to go to -6.

just plug it. a -6 will just make it look more cluttered.

what do the baffles look like inside? i would think you would get alot of oil in your catch can. when you run them in the front you want them behind the baffles.

I did mine the same way with two -10's on the front, and welded the breather hole shut...

i have a small baffle in front of the fittings in the valve cover the catch can also is baffled with a -10 drain to the block so oil in the can doesn't bother me any ways.
This is how it looks now after i powder coated it all

if you really want to put an an nipple where the stock nipple is, grab it with a pair of pliers. twist the hell out of it. it will come out.

it is close enough to a 1/8npt hole you can tap w/o drilling.
