Cant go wrong with nitto neo gens. I had them in the 205/50/15 on my integra with 360whp and it would dead hook second if it was dry. Plus they are cheap.

Are you looking for all-season or summer tires? What is the year and model?

The proper size depends on the car (year, model, version, as Cooper asked). Let us know that and we'll try to give you recommendations.

The Nitto NeoGen is a terrible recommendation for anyone in Merced who cares about performance. It's an all-season tire, and like all all-seasons, it sacrifices performance in moderate to warm temperatures in order to provide the additional flexibility of okay grip in snow and bitter cold. Those in a warm climate don't need to make that sacrifice, and can take advantage of the better performance of summer tires in moderate to warm temperatures (on dry roads as well as in rain). (Even in Oregon, you'll get WAY more grip from summer tires. For a high-horsepower application, you'd be much better off with the superior performance of an "extreme performance summer tire" like the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11, Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec, Kumho Ecsta XS, or Yokohama Advan Neova AD08. Try one of those and you'll see how much better they are than your current all-seasons.)

195/55-15 or 205/50-15

Which all season Falken tire are you asking about?

The Falken all-seasons, such as the Ziex ZE-512 and Ziex ZE-912, aren't very good.

I'd recommend one of these instead:

Goodyear Eagle GT 195/55-15
Kumho Ecsta ASX 195/55-15 or 205/50-15
