what ecu, injectors, and dizzy are you using? did you switch to obb1? these details and many more would help narrow down the possiblities.

if you got obd1 injectors+ obd1 dizzy=p28.....obd0 injectors+OBD0 dizzy=pr4

although your going to have to eventually get a p28 anyways for VTEC

btw... if your running obd1 injectors wich it looks like you are make sure you eliminate the injector resistor box. its a little grey box next to the brake booster with a green plug on it

also as far as the dizzy you can repin the plug on engine harness to match your obd1 dizzy or you can get a jumper harness for it...

list what parts you have going on injectors, dizzy, ecu etc...

wait u didnt do the mpfi conversion? mpfi means multi poin fuel injection d16/zc z6/ y8... dpfi is dua point fid15b1/2. u need to do that conversion in order for ur motor to start. research young grass hopper. if u live in cali i can do the wiring on the cheap!

Well, it seems like you are answering your own question, if you are still trying to run a setup that isn't complete or in a way it was not designed to, I.e dpfi.

Makes no differnce if the car came with a zc in it when you got it. You are not going to be able to run a z6 head on a motor with only two injectors and expect it to run right. If you want to stay dpfi, then find yourself as dx or hf head, or do it the right way with the correct compnents, sure you can ghetto rig something to activate vtec, but first and foremost you need to switch to mpfi even if you don't want to switch to odb1.
