Default is it true that CM makes a cable tranny type clutch for the b16??

everyone says to order a clutch kit for a b18 from a '90-'91 teg, but then someone told me that there is a kit for the cable trannies. I called CM and the guy who answered said they did, but he was just replying with a yes or uh huh to every question I shot at him...so I don't know what to think.

I just used the b18 clutch for the 90-91 integra. It works fine.

I know this, but it is not specifically designed for the high revving b16. so I was wondering if there was an actual b16 clutch kit...

The clutch doesn't care about how high you rev It cares about torque and power... there probably is a clutch kit, but not in the US I would think.

the Y1 tranny uses 90-91 teg clutch and YS1 tranny uses 92-93 teg clutch.

y don't u just look at the series engine ur b16 is. if it is a 1 million series engine you can summise that u have a y1(j1) tranny if it is a 3million than a y1. more than likely the tranny and engine have been mated together their whole life. that actually brings up a question I have. Can u use a hydro tranny clutch say a civic si or ITR clutch on a cable tranny like the y1's? And if u can't y not??? one thing i REALLY lack knowledge in is trannys so i just don't understand.

92+ clutches use a larger input shaft than 90-91. You can technically fit a 92 clutch on a 90-91 transmission, but one decent launch and it will strip right out.

Cable/Hydro is of no consequence.
