01 Sedan Tail lights in a 04 Sedan (Searched)
yes i already searched, i'm doing the opposite of the common swap,
My friends has a 04 Sedan, and stangely enough, he doesnt like his tail lights, I have a 01, i hate mine, he wants to swap.
I know they will fit but i'm wondering about the plugs
Will the Tail lights from a 2001 Sedan, plug right into a 2004 Sedan without having to change the plugs or cut any wires?
I dont care if i have to cut anything in my 01, but i dont want to have to do anything with his.
Thanks in advance

Decent conversion with pics here: http://www.civicforums.com/forums/10...onversion.html
thats for a Coupe, from what i've read the sedan is different and required the removal of the bumper.
That i dont mind, but i dont want to have to cut anything in my friends 04 civic. Will my 2001 sedan tail lights plug directly into the 2004 without having to cut or change anything?

I guess i'll have too.
Can anyone confirm if i have to remove the bumper or not. i read on civic forums that i do but i cant see a reason why.

Never Mind Lock this up.
The Bumper does indeed need to be removed to take out the tail lights, the tails have a mounting tab on them and supports the corner of the bumper, you need to take 2 screws out of the tab to remove the lenses and you cant do that without first removing the bumper.
And there is cutting involved, i need to cut his turn signal plug off, as well as mine, and swap the 2 over, splice the wires back together and everything else is easy
