curious to see if anyone has a picture of a 94-01 integra coupe with 6x9 speakers in the back. I checked the archieves and all the pictures I found have been deleted. I realize alot of people feel the 6.5 speakers are superior but these I already have. Any pictures of how it was mounted would be greatly appreciated thank you.
If im not mistaken, if you have a two door, the speakers are in the sidepanels. There are 6.5" cutouts, and you would have to cut them larger to fit the 6x9's, and put the stock panel back over them. If you wanted to show them off, you'd have to modify the stock panels. If you have a 4 door, there should already be a 6x9 cutout, and the stock rear deck lid goes over that. so, there really isn't much to show off in this case...

This was the only pic of a 6x9 in a coupe I could find. It looks like it is mounted using only 3 screws, I don't like that. If this were my vehicle (and I actually wanted a 6x9 speaker), Id cut out a piece of 1/4" MDF to fit around that opening, cut a 6x9 cut out from it, then mount the MDF to the metal using several screws for mounting, then using the 4 screws on for the speaker mounting tabs, then put the stock side panel back over it. I hope this helps...

thanks joey I appreciate that pic alot because when I had all the paneling off I was looking at it and thought how the hell did they mount it. I felt the same way didn't like how they were were supported or drilling into the metal so I just decided to mount them behind the backseats like this.
