Default After engine cleaner engine surging

I clean my engine everytime I wash my car. After I cleaned it this time the engine is surging and ticking. The surging immediatley quits when I turn on the air conditioning. Any ideas? I cleaned the engine the exact same way as I have for the past two years without issue...

Have you had a coolant changed recently?

I also spray off my engine bay each time. I have found that using compressed air to blow the water out of the electrical connectors and around the oxygen sensors always helps to ensure that the water is not causing a problem in the long run.
