energy suspension control arm bushings
I got some energy suspension control arm bushings for the front on my DA The kit came with upper and lower, and Im not sure where the lower ones go on the control arm. I thought they went to the lower strut mount position, but the OEM strut bolts wont fit through. Am I gonna have to go with different bolts or am I missing something here?
the lower control arm bushing is to be mounted to where the chassis is. u have to but a different bushings for the shock mount to the control arm. i made the same mistake.

well primarily ur already in the guts of it. if ur changing the lower control arm bushings then ur changing the upper control arm bushings. so u might as well change the lower ball joint since its all apart. also when u seperated the ball joint(if not new) u've done damage to it.
Yes, thas exactly what I was thinking, thanks man. I was jus weary of removing the control arm completely because it looked like the same size bolt (as the strut bolt) that held it to the chasis. An I jus wasn't up for more work than need be haha
I did have new balljoints pressed in today along wit some skunk2 springs an blue tokicos, sway bar endlinks and tie rod covers...

So are there any advantages to going with an aftermarket lower control arm in the front? I havent seen alot of those made. Or, jus the OEM lower control arms with new bushings is the way to go? I'm planning on going with adjustable uppers in the near future...
