ENGINE TURNS OVER BUT NOT FIRING?
I HAVE A 2000 HONDA CRV, 138,000 mi. It's been running just fine, then all of a sudden, went to start it up one morining and it wouldn't start. Engine turns over but not firing. So far, I checked spark plugs, distrubutor and wires, fuses. One mechanic put in some kind of relay sensor? Something like that...still to no avail. All have said that battery is good if it turns over...is this necessarily the case? One mechanic said it could be ECU but others say it's very rare for them to go bad. What else can I check that would bring on this problem.....all of a sudden with no warning signs? I've read to check battery, connections, fuel and/or faulty fuel guage, fuel injection, fuel pump, ignition coil/coil (one in the same?).....please help. Thanks!
You need to find out if its not getting fuel or spark. Most likely it'll be spark but here are some troubleshooting links for the main relay and ignition system
