Two days ago I got owned by WI Trooper Letner. Much thanks to my new brakes. Without them I would be in jail right now. I was going well over 100 on some back roads north of Iron Ridge, WI. Three blips on the radar detector later... well you see the result.

Don't feel bad. At one point I got 3 speeding tickets for 15-25 over in a span of 6 weeks, all accidental in one way or another.

 

Well, I think that you got owned more than the car did.

 

close enough. $187.80 and 6 points. Fortunately, I am moving out of this state in 7 days and counting. I do not plan on paying this ticket.

years later, when you're married and have kids, and you're passing through the state and get pulled over becuase your minivan has a taillight out, you go to jail becuase you have a warrant out . . . .

 

I called the court house and asked what would happen if I

a) didn't do ****. result: suspended license. warrant for my arrest.
b) plead non-guilty and never showed up for court case: warrant for my arrest
c) plead no contest and never showed up for court case: suspended license, large fine.
d)plead guilty but couldn't (didn't) pay: uhh I don't think we can do anything (she said in a ditzy voice).

I'm gonna go for D.

 

Actually, what I did was went into court to ask for driving school. They agreed and told me to return the ticket after I took driving school. It's sort of a loophole, they never gave me a due date and I never went to driving school, thus, the ticket is still in limbo.

I didnt pay a ticket in Alabama once.

They sent a letter to my homestate of FL, which then suspended my license.

Some states have agreements with others...so watch out. It can be a bitch trying to re-register/title a car with suspended lic or non paid tickets.... beware.

 

You did something illegal. You got caught. Pay the maing.

 

Sometimes you just gotta deal with being taxxed.

That was the state I left my ticket in limbo in. I had no problems getting my GA state license or vehicle registration.

in my short life i've learned its NOT best to fight the law.

My Karma was fucked long ago.

Right when I turned 16 I started working for a stereo/security/accessories shop driving to dealerships to pick up and drop off new cars for installations. As I approached my 18th birthday I had 17 points on my license in 5 five different states. NJ, DE, MD, and of course PA. I also got a ticket in VA that was not work related. The only state ever to catch up with my was NJ but by the time the points came over it was over two years later and they were not added to my record. Since then I have been ticketed in the following states: IA, IL, WI, MI, OH and MN. I have long lost track of my total fines paid and point accumulated. I have heard nothing to date from any of these states.

PS. I pay over $3,000 a year for insurance as result of my own dumbass.
