Icon2 oil on spark plugs

Does anybody know why oil keeps getting on my spark plugs hole...
It’s a seal?? Or the Valve cover needs to be tighter??

Will this affect my car??

Thanks

Should be your Tube seals. Replace those and should fix it.

F22B1 or F22B2? There's the bottom spark plug o-ring that you'll need to replace if its a B2 motor. You'll need to remove the rocker arm assembly then replace the bottom spark plug o-rings and thats it for the B2.

B1 I believe only has the upper o-rings underneath the valve cover.

Both have seals on the valve cover. B2 has the rocker assembly seals though.

I would try the upper seals first before attempting the bottom seals as they are a bit more difficult to replace unless needed but if you do:

Irregularly working spark plugs use up more fuel and money.

i had this issue on my f22b2 and i replaced the valve cover gasket and o rings twice. the second time i cleaned the area where the o-rings sit and put a dab of sealer on and it has been fine ever since. this is a very common problem on the f series

If its a B1, try the upper o-rings first. I've yet to hear anything bad about the bottom o-rings on the B1.

You Need a new engine!!!!!!, lol jk, its ur seals, the plugs holes on the valve cover, and b2 has lower tube seals. replace top ones first.

Thats because the B1 heads don't have lower tube seals.

I agree. I had same issue on my B2 fixed the top ones and valve cover to see if that fixed situation but still has some oil in spark plug well... I haven't done bottom one's yet b/c I don't have needed tools but I will probably take to local mechanic and have them just redo the entire thing alomng with lower ones .. That video above is awesome, informative & entertaining.. wish I had the tools
