Default B18 Swap cranks doesn't turn over

I put a b18a1 into a 94 tege the old block was knocking well i got a hold of another engine the b18a1 which wont turn over now i am getting fuel i know that cause i have a gauge on my fuel filter which reads 45psi and when the car isnt being started it drop well today i sprayed starter fluid into my car causing a fire back fire coming out of my intake but now when i try and start it it cranks for like 2 seconds make a poping noise kinda like a backfire and kinda trys to start and sugestions what could be wrong also i have a d16 dizzy which plugs up i was kinda low on cash

Check the spark plug wires if their connected the right order and check ur timing try toadvance or retard the dizzy

i had similar problems u might wanna make sure u dont need a valve adjustment. kept my gsr in my ek hatch from starting after getting the head fixed

I found out what was wrong it was the cap or the end of the harnest where the feul injecters wire up to i took off the cap thingy now it runs but in high rps like 2 grand

Bleed the cooling system. Air trapped in the fitv sometimes causes a high idle. Inspect the idle adjustment screw and make sure it is screwed all the way in. Visually inspect the intake manifold for any open vacuum ports.
