i changed the tps in my car last week, drove it for 3 days and it was fine, then last night when i was going home from work, i was getting on the interstate and got into it in 3rd gear and at about 45-50 mph it started bucking really bad and spitting and ****. any clues why its doing that?

 

oh yeah, its a 89 si d16a6) swapped hatch

 

it was also doing that in 2nd when i got into it hard too, but if i changed gears it was fine again

 

any help? anyone?

my battery light is on, the car runs great otherwise, till i take it to a certain speed in each gear, then it will start bucking like its not getting gas or something, its hard to explain really, if im in neutral i can take tach it out and it wont do it.

 

if your car never had problems before u changed ur TPS then that is most likely the issue...

 

well it needed a new one because it was throwing a cell and that was the problem, so i ordered a blox one off password jdm and put it on, it ran like a top for a few days, then it just started acting up again, could it be that i didnt put it in at the right angle? because there was room for when you have the bolts in u could twist it probably a 1/4" because the bolt holes were kinda long and looked like they were made for that

 

also i just went and checked i have oil in my spark plug tubes, altho i changed all those seals, plus valve cover gasket and gromets last week. any clues? im pretty sure thats what makes the car do what its doing now
