2000 Acura integra bearing/transmission sound
Hey guys,
Okay, so I've researched this a lot and I'm pretty confused on what is the problem. About a year ago I started to hear this spinning sound from my car when I started it. It would be a spinning sound, and sometimes almost like a bird chirpping/whistling sound. When I would press the clutch in, it would go away and I'd hear just my engine, once I released it, it would come back. Also when I'd drive you can hear it, but when I shift it goes away. Basically when I press teh clutch it goes away and when it gets released you hear it. Just recently it kind of went away, but my car doesn't sound the same like before(all engine and intake). I read that its the ISB, or release bearing. I just did my throwout bearing and clutch like 4 months ago. I thought it was the throwout bearing, but then I replaced it and still can hear it. Can someone tell me what it is? And what are the consequences of not replacing it?
