I am looking to get a bike... I was wondering if the used market for bikes dropped a lot during the winter... or does the used value price usually hold its value all year? So in the other words should i wait untill december to buy a bike?

It makes sense, kinda true where I am. Just don't go lookin to buy one in the Spring. I would get a new one during the time of year when they clearing out last years models and are getting ready for the new models to come in.

 

Drop a lot no, a little maybe, it just depends on how bad the person needs the money.

Personally I would be willing to wait what do you have to lose as a seller?

 

in my experience, w/ sportbikes especially, people need money around christmas time to keep up w/ bills. This is usually applicable to the more popular "stunter" bikes about 2-3 years old. Example: for this winter you may be able to find an 01 yammy6 quite cheap. As long as you're willing to fix any problems caused by neglect you can get a pretty good deal.
