Cruise Control Delete
hey there, so I decided I don't want my cruise control anymore, and took out the actuator yesterday, along with the attached bracket, canister, etc.
My question is, can I remove the "purge control solenoid valve"? and what other cruise control components can I remove without getting an engine code?
I see another tank/canister that the solenoid feeds to, and a switch on the firewall, and there is something cruise related under the dash as well I believe, but I can't seem to find any exploded diagram with the details I need.
If someone helps me locate all my cruise control components, I'll write up a proper [with pictures] tutorial on how to remove the cruise control entirely, since there isn't any detailed guide online.

Purge control solenoid valve is emissions related and has nothing to do with the cruise control, you must have your vacuum lines mixed up when you tried tracing them. The only components for the cruise control that can be removed without affecting other things is the actuator and the vacuum box inside the driver fender.
Is this in a 4th or 5th gen. In my 4th gen i removed everything when i did the cruise
control delete, including the cc module under the dash, and had no codes at all.
