So switch it back to the po6 then. If the car starts then obviously the ecu was the problem, if it doesnt start then check your grounds/dizzy.

I change it back and still no fire; however, my alternator is off! Does that interfere with the spark plugs not have spark! Here more information- I have 1994 Civic DX with a D16/Z swap! I just brought the car with a bad Trans. I placed a new Trans in the car and wired everything back! I am positive that the wires are excited because I labeled the parts with masking tape! I also replaced the timing and water pump! My dad wanted to check the timing before I replaced the cover and installs the new a/c belt, alternator belt, when we tried stating the car without the alternator being installed for a brief moment to make sure everything is fine, however the car will not start! It turns over but no fire to the plugs!

Does the fuel pump also fail to prime? Did you reconnect the G101 ground that attaches to the thermostat housing?

Any CEL codes? Does the Blk/Yel wire attached to the coil and ICM have voltage with the key in ON(II)? If there is voltage, test the coil and igniter unit inside the distributor.

What makes you believe this? Have they been tested?

Does the CEL work?

This reasoning is flawed. You NEED to test the coil and igniter unit.

Listen to RonJ, he knows his ****.
Last week a ca came in for a vtec head swap
Finished it, car started up fine. Idled for about 20 mins.
The customer and I jump into the car for the first test drive.
As soon as he shuts his door......poof.
Car stalls out. Tested the coil...no dice. Replaced the coil, car drove fine and has had no problems after that day.

What im getting at is, the coil can randomly take a dump. No rhyme or reason to it....when it goes...it goes.
