yo guys. i am doing a d series tranny ( auto to manual conv ) swap in my hatch . at first i thought i needed auto manual mounts no matter what but my friend was trying to tell me today that the oem manual mounts and bracket from an eg will work as long as the tranny is still d series . is this true ? thanks

If you drill out all the spot welds and remove the automatic pocket mount thats welded to the passenger's side frame rail and then weld in the manual version you can use an OEM upper transmission mount.

 

so what is the cheapest top auto manual mount i need? i can use the oem front and side mounts right ?

 

it depends on what car you have. I know that in the "EK" Chassis, you can reuse the Body mount for the auto tranny, and just need the bracket that goes onto the body mount and bolts into the tranny itself.
