Bent lip on 2 piece rim. Repairable? Please Help!
Was slick out and I took a turn to quick. The car slid into a curb pretty hard and bent the lip of one of my wheels. They are discontinued (Works RSZ-R) so, no luck finding a spare.
It's a 2 piece forged rim so I think it MAY be repairable. If anyone has any experience, please let me know. I dont want to throw away my $1500 rims.

As you can see, the only part damaged is the lip. So, can the lip just be replaced?
More pictures can be found here.

There are professional wheel repair shops all over the country that specialize in this. They may or may not be able to repair your wheel; I recommend e-mailing the photos to them to find out, before you actually go there or ship the wheel there.
If you posted your location (even just your state) so it would appear under your username, we might be able to refer you to a wheel repair shop in your area. Or you could search this forum for previous topics looking for recommendations.
Some of the better-known wheel repair places include:
Wheel Collision Center (Bath PA)
Wheels America (around 10 locations nationwide)
TRU Wheel (North Hollywood CA)
Ye Olde Wheel Shop (Elkridge MD - no website, 800-526-8260)
Transwheel (3 locations in IN/MD/FL)
I've used Transwheel in the past and was happy with the results.

I do not know of any wheel repair specialists in the Kansas City area. When I do a web search, the only things that pop up are nationwide mobile wheel repair services that have franchisees in various cities, and I do not have any experience with them but I'm leery. Maybe you can locate one by asking around... or you can call the service department of your local car dealer (I'd recommend Acura or another luxury brand) to ask them who they use locally or if they send them out.
You could also ship the wheel to one of the places I posted above. Again, though, I'd recommend first e-mailing the photos to them and asking whether they can fix it, before you actually send them the wheel.
Good luck!

If it doesn't work out I will definitely try calling and emailing the companies you listed above.
I was just seeing if anyone has been in a situation like this and sent it out for repairs.
