Need help with tires. S2k w/ NSX wheels
i have a 03 s2000 and just picked up a set of oem 96spec nsx's wheels. im planning on putting on new tires but not sure on which size to get. atm it has 225/50/16 & 255/ 40/17. he mention he choose that size to keep oem rotational sizing. i dont know much about tires, is it true? if not which size would be best recommended . im just looking for a size for daily driving and optimize good handling. Thanks!
What works for an NSX doesn't necessarily work for an S2000, and vice versa. And the guy with the wheels doesn't even have a clue what works for an NSX (the reason he's selling the wheels is because his front tires are much much MUCH too big for an NSX).
I would try it out with the tires that are currently on the wheels. Although the sizes are all wrong for an NSX, they will probably work on your S2000.
If you decide to get new tires anyway (because you want a different kind of tire from what's on there), I would recommend either 205/55-16 or 225/50-16 front, and 245/ 40-17 or 255/ 40-17 rear.
