Making the H center cap sit flush on a rota gt3?
Well i bought myself some h caps for my rota's. Dont ask. My rims never came with caps. So i did a little research and concluded that the accord caps would fit. Which are 2 3/4'". Well i placed them in today and its pretty hard to sit them in. But no matter what i do it will always lift up just slightly from some end. So i was wondering what you guys have done to make them sit right? Im just afraid of them popping off.
I was thinking of sanding the hole where the cap goes...is this a good approach?
Any input is appreciated.

before sanding it, make sure you've tried every position and every technique to get it in.. then if it don't work, sand both the cap and the "holder" or whatever you want to call where it is.. gl man

^^Well yeah obviously i got some accord caps. The question is why they dont sit flush. Or how did every one else make them sit flush. Wether the caps were modified and in what way. Cuz i got the caps everyone has said fits...but as you can see they dont sit 100% flush...more like 97%.
That's what I used to get mine in, but they honestly don't sit quite flush. It's never really bothered me much. I have Odyssey caps in Slipstreams, but it's exactly the same thing. Same center bore, same diameters, and really the Odyssey caps are the same as the Accord caps.
All I can tell the OP is just to carefully sand one down until it fits, then post the results so I can fix mine.

I used the black and chrome center caps from the crv steel wheels. I liked the look on my red gt3s, I guess color and all would make a difference but you could always spray em.
I took a bench grinder to my caps. I ground the part of the hooks to make them a bit deeper where they hook onto the rim.
GL i was going to buy some oddessy caps from some dude but they didnt fit... I told him ill buy them if you can get 1 in there (koing rim)... he tried and didnt succeed...

Dude, it's not rocket science. The reason it is sitting crooked is because the cap is a bit too big. Remove material in the areas where it touches the rim. Do this all the way around the cap. Remove only as much material as it takes for it to snap in and stay securely.
Caps are cheaper than wheels. Grind the caps. I used a bench grinder for mine. Use the corner of the grinding wheel to make the trench.
Yeah problem is I don't have a grinder. Which sux *****.
I was hoping that sanding the hole with sandpaper would do the trick.
