91 Si - adding Trans Fluid?

Default 91 Si - adding Trans Fluid?

I feel stupid even starting this thread... Looking for simple answer here, maybe some helpful pics too. I have a 91 Civic Si, looking under the hood i can not figure out where to add the trans fluid. Can someone help me out????

there is a 17mm nut located on the side of the tranny that you have to take off just under the starter...go to vatozone or kragen and get a hand pump and some 10w30 conventional motor oil (1.9 quarts) and pump it in...!!!

Remove the speed sensor, fill / top off, replace speed sensor.

yea speed sensor is easier to get and you can just geta funel and tube and there you go. But is it bad to cheap out on 10w-30 and not get 10w-40?

huh...ever read the original honda manual that says 10w30 and not 10w40

follow your speedmeter cable behind the intake manifold and you will find it...!!!

Look at the end of the distributor where the plug wires come out of, then look straight down. It is a plug sticking straight up out of the transmission with a lead coming out of it which hooks into where all the other sensors lead to.

EDIT: I posted the location of the REVERSE sensor, which is what many people use to fill the trans. Why you'd use the speed sensor which is more of a pain to get to than the actual transmission fill bolt is beyond me.
