2000 Civic ex takes longer to start
I have noticed in the past week my 2000 ex with a d16y8 motor takes longer to start than before for cold starts. I changed my spark plugs and am still having the same symptom. Is this a sign for something to come? What should i try next?
I've got a 1999 Civic D16Y7 and I have spent a year trying to figure mine out. Had to wait until it started getting cold again, mine didn't do it all summer.
Throws no codes, but just cranks and cranks before finally firing, only happens when it's below 40* at night.
I did a full tune up with honda parts, replaced all filters, plugs, wires, cap rotor, needed all that anyways, and still nothing.
Try cleaning and testing IACV and FITV, it's a starting point.
