whats the best way to clean up the head stud holes?

Default whats the best way to clean up the head stud holes?

i have taken off the head and wanted to clean out the stud holes before re installing the studs.

i dont want to take out the engine.

what do you guys recommend?
what technique have you guys used?

rag, and compressed air from your air compressor, cover the hole with the rag while you blow compressed air in there

small wire brush (like the ones used to clean spark plugs) and brake cleaner
