So, i couldnt find exactly what size the bulbs were in the climate control on here or other sites so i ended up figuring out on my own but thought i would share the info and some pics of where the bulbs are located. im sure it will help someone out. I assume its all the same for all 88-91 crx's and hatches but my EDM 91 CRX has 4 climate control bulbs. 3 larger ones and 1 smaller one. all the bulbs i got from autoillumination dot com. they ship fast. so basically when you get your climate control out you will see 3 easy to get at neo wedge bulbs.

the last one is hidden underneath part of the back of the climate control which can easily be removed by removing a couple screws

once that last one is changed out put it all back together and see how it looks. here is a pic of the bulbs that came out and what sizes they are. one of the bulbs i broke on purpose. These are classified as neo-wedge bulbs also.

i havent put mine back in yet and no pic cuz im currently repairing my climate control and some of you know how brittle the plastic is. throwing some epoxy on and hoping it holds good enough. here is a pic of my gauge cluster though however with the red bulbs in. it looks kind of pink in the picture but its just the pic, it looks really good. i also took out the light diffuser on top to brighten it up a bit but i may put it back on.


anyways hope this helps someone looking to do the same thing

 

so installed everything back together today hoping it would look awesome, and nothing lit up. the lights never lit up since i got the car from the original owner either. im another lucky crx owner with a working but unlit climate control. i assume its the circuit board in there but has anyone ever found out what it is? i saw alot of people on here had similar issues but not resolved.

 

time to pull out the helms manual.
