Driving 30 m.p.h. I swerved around something in the street and lost control. I spun 180 degrees and went over the curb flush with the passenger side of my car. After coming to a stop in a vacant lot, the engine was still running and sounded perfectly healthy. After getting everything taken care of with the police and land owners I drove my car away. The first 100 feet my car drove perfectly fine except my power steering no longer worked, I shrugged it off since I see it as a luxury. As I was driving my car suddenly began to vibrate and make a very loud grinding noise. This symptom came in waves getting more and more common and lasted about the next half mile where my car did nothing but vibrate and grind and would not move at all. I've been so busy with school I haven't had time to diagnose the problem. I plan on working on it this weekend and was hoping someone could give there opinion of what they believe could be wrong with it. It's a 1993 del sol with a manual transmission. when you say "grinding" noise, do you mean like suspension noises or drivetrain noises? be more specific

 

The grinding noise is drivetrain related.

 

did you check your transmission/ engine and under the car? does anything look bent/ cracked?

 

Nothing is visibly wrong with anything from what I can tell. I believe the problem is internal.

 

It could be your axle... you could have bent something to do with your LCA's as well
